Food is spot on! If you like real homemade style Mexican food, then you have the right place. The flavors are fantastic and the atmosphere is great. You can be hidden away in a more private area or out in the open with more people. I love the idea and I love the waitresses and owner even more with how friendly they are. They treat you like family and not many places can offer that! Did I mention the food was to die for?

Restaurant is clean; service is good. Waitress told us the mint she put on top of our 3-year-old's chocolate milk was picked fresh from their garden. The salsa is obviously fresh and very tasty. We stopped here while on a road trip. Mexican restaurants generally offer family-friendly dining with large portions for a reasonable price. This restaurant offers portions significantly smaller than most. The fajitas came covering 1/3rd of a plate which also contained the rice, beans, and a tiny plastic cup of very good guacamole; this would be considered a lunch portion at most places. Price for chicken fajitas is $17 including tax. Tacos are $3 apiece for a crunchy beef taco; about double what we regularly pay at 4 different Mexican restaurants in the Columbia area. Kids meals are $6.50. All in all, the food was tasty and fresh. Had we known what the portion/price ratio was like, we probably would've tried another place.

I was very happy with my visit to Anita's and look forward to going back soon. The food was delicious and the atmosphere was lovely. The customer service was excellent and super friendly. The hospitality was great and they have the best Sangria I have ever tasted. The Manager of this wonderful restaurant even walked around greeting customers. That was so nice. I give Anita's two thumbs up!

It's not a flashy Mexican restaurant, but that's another reason to go. Great service, great food! Trying not to fall asleep after you eat there is the only hard part.
